How do you store your Polaroids?
When you have captured a beautiful memory with your Polaroid camera, it is of course important to keep the Polaroid, and with it the memory, safe. That is why we explain here how best to store your Polaroids.
For developing
Save
If you have purchased multiple Polaroid cartridges and do not intend to use them immediately, it is best to store them unopened in a dry, cool environment. Lay the cartridges flat and ensure the temperature remains stable between 4 and 18°C. Above all, do not put your Polaroids in the freezer! This will damage the chemicals inside the Polaroid and affect the result.
To use
You can take beautiful blossom photos where every single flower is sharp, but we challenge you to play with the depth of field of your photo. When the blossom is sharp and the background is blurred, the blossom stands out more. This can result in fantastic images!
After developing
After taking your Polaroid photo, a number of chemical reactions take place. Therefore, always keep your Polaroid out of direct sunlight and at a normal temperature.
The first 30 days
We do not recommend storing your Polaroids directly in a photo album or placing them in a stack in the corner. Give the Polaroids some time to rest first. This way, the Polaroid has ample time to dry completely during the first 30 days, and the chemical processes can be completed.
After the first 30 days
After the first 30 days, you can safely store the Polaroids, preferably in a dry and dark environment, such as in a photo album. Do you want to frame your Polaroids? Then it is best to do this behind glass that blocks UV light, so that your Polaroids do not fade.
