Less mirror vibration for maximum sharpness

The EOS 5Ds uses Canon's Mirror Vibration Control System to minimize vibrations caused by movement in the camera that may result in disappointing photo quality and low resolution. These cams are used to move the mirror up and down, so that the movement of the mirror makes less noise.

Focus quickly and accurately, even in low light, with a 61-point AF system. 41 cross-type points, including five of the extra sensitive double-cross type, provide additional accuracy. Using all 61 AF points together or group them in moveable zones to focus on subjects that are off-center. You can also select one AF point to focus accurately on a specific part of the scene.

EOS Intelligent Tracking and Recognition

The EOS Intelligent Tracking and Recognition (ITR) AF technology uses colors and faces to identify issues and to follow them as they move through the picture. The AF responsiveness can be adjusted with a simple tool, so the focus is adjusted to the shooting environment and subject, so that other irrelevant objects do not disturb the focus.
