With a splitter you can split one cable, as the name suggests, into multiple cables. If you use a good splitter, there's no interference on the line either, so your signal stays just as strong as if you were using a single cable. Decide in advance how many ports you want to split the cable into, so you only have to connect the cables once and can keep working with the same device.
