Today, Fujifilm introduces the first mirrorless camera in the X series, which is faster than ever before. Due to innovative technologies, the image quality and colours are now even better! It is now also easier to track and photograph moving subjects. Doesn't all of this sound promising?

The outside

To the naked eye, the X-T3 has almost the same design as Fujifilm's X-T2. The buttons, setting wheels, the handle and the central viewfinder in particular are the same. The camera is also available in silver. This gives the camera a more authentic look. Because the shape hasn't changed, the X-T3 will feel very familiar to many a photographer.

However, the Fujifilm X-T3 has been upgraded on a number of points, resulting in improved user-friendliness. For example, the X-T3 features a touch screen with improved contrast and a wider viewing angle. It also comes standard with a headphone output. This is especially convenient for those who want to use the X-T3 as a video camera.

Fujifilm X-T3

Faster and better than ever

This Fujifilm camera features the X Series’ fourth-generation APS-C image sensor, the newly developed X-Trans CMOS 4, boasting 26.1 megapixels. False colours are suppressed with the unique X-Trans colour filter, eliminating the need for a filter. Not entirely insignificant; this is the first 'Back Illuminated' (BSI) image sensor within the Fujifilm X-Series. With this BSI, noise performance can be improved while the resolution of the image sensor has increased.

Improved video possibilities

This Fujifilm X-T3 is the world's first mirrorless camera that allows recordings to be stored on the SD card with a resolution of 4K/60P 4:2:0 10-bit. In addition, it reads the sensor about 50% faster than the current models. This allows 4K/60P video to be read at 17 msec.

The camera supports a colour depth of 10 bit. This means that the number of available colours and hues is 64 times as large as when using an 8-bit colour depth. If you combine this with the 400% dynamic range (about 12 stops), you can expect the rich colours you see in a sunset for instance.
