The Leica M6 is an analogue rangefinder camera and the updated version of its legendary predecessor from 1984.
Despite the fact that this camera is an updated version, it remains true to itself and the special characteristics, such as the slanted rewind lever, have been retained. The M6 ??is also equipped with an optimized rangefinder, which allows you to enjoy more options and more modern functionality.
Other differences compared to its predecessor can mainly be found in the construction of the housing. In contrast to the M6 ??from 1984, the new version is not equipped with a zinc-cast top plate, but with a top plate milled from solid brass, layered with a wear-resistant black lacquer. In addition, all optical surfaces in the M6 ??are provided with a coating, which means that stray light has less influence on your images.
By staying close to the original design, Leica meets the wishes of young photographers who also want to experience the creative process of photography. The Leica M6 is the perfect tool to focus on the essence of photography.
