Description
The Leica 10880 SL2-S Body Black is the perfect choice for photographers who prefer fast operation over the exceptionally high image resolution of the Leica SL2. Within the Leica SL system there are particularly high recording speeds of up to 25 frames per second at full resolution. In addition, there are pro-level video capabilities with 10-bit 4K video recording.
High quality image sensor
The most important element is the new CMOS-BSI image sensor with a resolution of 24 megapixels. Data collected by the sensor is processed by the camera's Leica Maestro-III processor combined with the generous 4 gigabyte buffer memory. This makes it possible to shoot up to nine frames per second with virtually unlimited burst shooting in RAW format.
Built-in image stabilisation
The Leica SL2-S is equipped with a floating image sensor, which ensures a very efficient, five-axis image stabilisation. This works in combination with any Leica lens. This sensor-shift technology also enables multi-shot recording. This actually means that eight shots are combined into one image, with a total resolution of 96 megapixels.The high sensitivity of up to ISO 100,000, combined with fast autofocus and in-body image stabilisation, allows photographers to capture excellent shots in almost any lighting condition.
Perfect for creative videographers
The SL2-S is not only for photographers but also for video and cinematographers. Its capabilities are continuously optimized through firmware updates that are released. This camera records in whopping 10-bit 4:2:2 videos using Leica's L-Log gamma, with frame rates up to 60 fps.Another important pro-video feature is the camera's unlimited video recording time, meaning your video length is only limited by the particular (internal or external) memory you're using.
Unlimited compatibility
This camera is equipped with the L-mount, this ensures that the SL and TL lenses are possible. It is also possible to use the M, R and S lenses via an adapter.And don't forget the Leitz Cine lenses, which are highly sought after by cinematographers across the board. With an adapter it can also be used on the Leica SL2-S.
