Simply shoot 4K/UHD 30p recordings with stereo sound or record Full HD (1080p) videos at up to 60p frame rate. You can display video on an external monitor via the HDMI output while recording, with no additional information in sight. An external microphone can be connected to the built-in microphone jack for better sound. Manual film mode lets you adjust important exposure settings while filming. It's ideal for changing light conditions. The built-in time-lapse function is perfect for shooting cityscapes, star trails or plants opening up in the forest. You can record mesmerising time-lapse movies of around 10 seconds, which are played back at 25fps or 30fps.

Nikon's dual-detection optical Vibration Reduction (VR) lets you shoot with shutter speeds up to five stops slower than would otherwise be possible.
