Adox D-76 Classic
Adox D-76 Classic is a versatile, user-friendly developer with a wide range of applications, suitable for the most varied films and contrast situations, always delivering fine grain and excellent speed utilisation.
Adox has taken the classic formula and brought it up to modern standards whilst preserving all the important original characteristics and development times. The new Adox D-76 features significantly lower dissolving temperatures and Captura technology for dust-free mixing. In addition, all borates have been removed and replaced with a non-toxic, biodegradable buffer. The Adox D-76 powder developer is produced in Germany, with both research and post-production quality control carried out on-site. The product is available in 1-litre and 5-litre packaging.
The Adox D-76 developer can be used in exactly the same way as Kodak D-76, using the already published D-76 times, dilutions, and factors.
Adox D-76 dissolves in water from 29 °C. This is a huge advantage over the old formula, particularly in warmer countries, as it cools down more quickly to the working temperature of 20 °C.
Fill a mixing jug with 700 ml (or 4,500 ml for the 5-litre version) of water at 29 °C or above (35 °C is recommended) and dissolve the entire sachet by stirring gently. If a few white crystals remain undissolved, use a coffee filter or Zewa. Top up with cold water to 1,000 ml (or 5,000 ml for the 5-litre pack). Allow to cool to 20 °C before using the D-76.
