The TaipanV2 19-384 uses a 12μm VOx uncooled Focal Plane Array with a resolution of 384 x 288, making even the smallest temperature differences visible. The 19 mm F1.0 lens provides exceptional sharpness and a field of view of 13.7° x 10.3°. Objects up to 950 metres away come into clear view. With the focus ring and digital zoom levels of 2x, 4x, 8x and 16x, you can observe every detail, no matter how far away.
The camera offers a range of colour palettes including Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot and Fusion. You can effortlessly adjust brightness, contrast and tone. Smart features such as Hotspot, Hottrack and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) make the image even more informative. The built-in rangefinder assists with accurate measurements, while scene modes such as General and Compressed automatically optimise the display.
The focus system with focus ring has a minimum focusing distance of 1.9 metres, ideal for quick close-range observations. With a dioptre adjustment of -5 D to +3 D, you can fine-tune the eyepiece precisely to your eyes. FFC correction keeps the image optimally sharp and works automatically, semi-automatically or manually – depending on your preference.
The internal 18650 lithium battery delivers up to 6.5 hours of continuous use. Charging and data transfer is straightforward via the USB Type-C connection. The TaipanV2 19-384 remains reliable in extreme conditions from -30 °C to +55 °C. Weighing just 0.31 kg and measuring 173 x 60 x 64 mm, it sits perfectly in the hand and goes wherever you do.
