The B+W Yellow 475 filter MRC nano Master 49mm is a yellow filter. In black and white photography, colours are converted into different shades of grey. However, many colours have similar brightness values, which often results in low contrast and less sharp details. By using colour filters, these tonal values can be influenced and enhanced.

B+W Yellow 475 Filter MRC Nano Master 49mm

The stronger the colour of the filter, the greater the contrast in the image. The new black-and-white colour filters from B+W Filter give you precise control over greyscale rendering. By selectively filtering specific wavelengths, contrasts and tonal transitions are enhanced — for images with a brighter character and greater depth.

More contrast. More expression. B+W filters for black-and-white photography will be available from mid-2026 with the Master filter mount and feature an advanced MRC nano coating, guaranteeing maximum light transmission and easier cleaning of the filter glass.
