Wildlife cameras offer gamekeepers and hunters valuable insights into their hunting areas. Camera traps can also be used to monitor locations such as allotment gardens or garages, helping to prevent theft and vandalism. The new Scouting Cam Black500 4K from Braun Photo Technik has been specially developed for surveillance tasks. Videos can even be recorded in high 4K Ultra HD resolution at 30 frames per second (fps), while photos at a maximum image resolution of up to 48 MP are no problem at all.
Settings can be adjusted directly on the camera's control panel and the 2.4-inch TFT colour display. Images can also be easily reviewed and checked directly via the colour display. Video resolution can range from 4K, 2.7K, 720P, VGA (all at 30 fps) to 1080p (60 fps). Photo resolution can be set between 48 and 3 MP. The Braun Scouting Cam Black500 4K also features three integrated PIR motion sensors with three different sensitivity levels, a detection angle of 120 degrees, a detection range of up to 20 metres, and a trigger time of approximately 0.6 seconds.
Thanks to the built-in infrared LEDs and the 5MP CMOS image sensor, high-quality images can be captured both day and night. Images can be stored on a micro SD memory card of up to 512 GB. The new wildlife camera also features a mini USB port for connecting to a PC.
The new Braun Scouting Cam Black500 4K wildlife camera additionally features an integrated microphone, a speaker, password protection, a time-lapse mode, and an indication of date, time, moon phase, and temperature. Thanks to a fastening strap and a practical tree mount, the robust and splash-proof (IP66) wildlife camera can be easily secured in the desired location. Operating temperatures range from -20 °C to +60 °C. Standby time is approximately 8 months. The camera is powered by eight AA batteries. Optionally, the camera can also be powered via a 6V 1.5A mains adapter.
