The Bresser Science MPO 401 microscope 40x - 1000x is a polarization microscope with 360° rotating object table - ideal for mineralogy, geology, biology and medicine!

Unlike conventional light, polarized light displays certain light waves that are not normally visible. Polarized light makes anisotropic objects visible that are normally invisible to the human eye. Because the light wave changes direction, a "new light" is created. When observing crystals, animal hairs, feathers, muscles, nerve fibers and plant cell walls, structures can be observed that would otherwise remain hidden. Images made by polarized light are often characterized by fantastic colours.

Polarization microscopes are mainly used in mineralogy, geology, biology and medicine. The Bresser Science MPO 401 has a round, fully adjustable and rotatable table with a degree division. The lighting and perception unit includes a halogen lamp (20W) with dimmer, 360° rotatable polarizer (for working with polarized light). The addition of an analyzer is intended to make working with the 360° rotatable and optionally available Bertrand lens. This lens can display special Colour effects.

The wide-angle eyepieces (WF10x), which are also optionally available, are mounted in the trinocular head with an angle of inclination of 30° placed. They have an eye relief and can be adjusted entirely to your personal wishes. This creates a clear and sharp image, rich in details. Furthermore, accessories are available: a separation eyepiece (WF10x), Abbe condenser (N.A. 1.25; with iris diaphragm), filters (blue, green, yellow, matte and polarization), DIN polarization objectives (4x, 10x, 40x spring-mounted, 100x oil spring) and immersion oil.
