The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2.8 is a versatile, compact fast zoom lens for a full frame Canon EOS R system camera. The lens features excellent image stabilization and weather sealing. Combined with the large 28-70mm zoom range, it is the ideal lens for travel, landscape and portrait enthusiasts.

This lens has a maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the entire zoom range. This allows you to take beautiful shots in low light with a nice, shallow depth of field. This is perfect for bokeh in portrait photography. Take stable handheld photos at slower shutter speeds thanks to the powerful 5.5-stop image stabilizer. This minimizes camera shake for razor-sharp images. In combination with the camera's in-body stabilization, you even enjoy up to 8 stops of stabilization.

The videographer can also count on this lens. Make movie productions with focus-breathing correction and precise autofocus. The lens features an STM motor, so you benefit from very smooth focus transitions in your video productions. Keep creative control in your own hands with the control/focus ring. Use it to adjust shutter speed, aperture or ISO values during shooting. The AF/MF/control switch lets you control this completely manually.

The lens features a clever mechanism for retracting the lens. This makes the lens only 9.2 cm long. Despite the constant maximum aperture over the entire zoom range, up to 8 stops of in-body stabilization and weatherproof seal, the lens weighs no more than 500 grams. This makes it a multipurpose lens that you can easily take anywhere.
