The extension rings have a chrome mount and are compatible with Sony NEX (APS-C)/E-mount lenses. Options such as automatic focus and TTL light metering continue to work. However, it is advisable to focus manually, because the sharpness is very close.

Minimum focusing distance

Each lens has a minimum focusing distance. If you place an extension tube, or so-called intermediate ring, between the lens and the camera body, the minimum focusing distance becomes smaller.
