Eizo CG2400SV 24 inch light hood included
The Eizo CG2400SV 24 inch monitor (light hood included) features an impressive top resolution (1920 x 1200), an excellent contrast ratio of 1800:1, and a brightness of 400 cd/m². This allows you to edit images and graphics down to the pixel. As an added benefit, text contours are sharp and precise. The LCD screen with IPS panel (Wide Gamut) offers a viewing angle of 178 degrees, ensuring that colour tone and contrast remain stable for the viewer.
To make full use of the complete colour spectrum of modern cameras, you need a monitor with the largest possible colour space. Only then is it possible to visually assess and edit the saturated tones in the file. That is why the IPS panel of the ColorEdge CG2400SV covers, for example, the wide AdobeRGB photo gamut and the CMYK print gamut ISO-Coated V2 to more than 99%. This means the full colour spectrum of modern cameras is reproduced unchanged and without interruption. An accurate simulation of the print result in the soft-proof view is also guaranteed.
The CG2400SV covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space used in the film industry and also supports the Rec. 2020 standard.
Thanks to its high contrast ratio, the CG2400SV reproduces deep blacks that often appear pale or washed out on a typical LCD monitor due to the backlight — particularly when viewed from the side in poorly lit environments. The CG series is equipped with a retardation film to enable this depth of black even at wide viewing angles.
The 3D LUT (Look-Up Table) on the CG2400SV uses internal calculations with 16 bits for an extremely high colour depth and outputs signals at up to 10 bits. This yields billions of shades for calculating accurate monitor reproduction, effectively preventing display errors caused by the monitor — such as banding or clipping. These errors can lead to tonal breaks in gradients or unwanted colours in grey tones. Even fine nuances and details in dark or heavily saturated areas of the image can be rendered with differentiation and precision.
An integrated calibration sensor ensures maximum colour accuracy. The sensor is perfectly matched to the monitor, takes ambient influences such as light into account, and correlates the centre of the image with the edges. This ensures a consistent result across the entire monitor surface. The sensor is housed in the screen bezel and only extends during measurement, meaning no external calibration device is required and the colour fidelity of the monitor is always at its best.
You can use the ColorNavigator software or the on-screen menu to determine when monitor calibration should take place automatically — for example, you can schedule calibration during your lunch break or overnight, without needing a PC.
Every individual monitor panel is precisely measured across its entire surface at the EIZO factory. Any brightness inconsistencies and unwanted colour deviations are detected and corrected. This process (Digital Uniformity Equalizer) guarantees that identical colours are always displayed consistently across the entire monitor surface, regardless of where they appear. Only in this way is accurate image editing and retouching possible.
