With a colour temperature range of 1800K to 10000K and full RGB colour selection (HSI: hue, saturation, intensity), you can create any atmosphere you desire. The GM setting assists with precise colour correction when matching other sources or the camera profile.

Measuring just 97 x 46 x 91 mm (without reflector) and weighing approximately 422 grams, the ML40R takes up virtually no space. It fits in a camera bag, making it a logical choice for mobile work, location shoots, and smaller set-ups. A CRI of ≈97 and TLCI of ≈97 ensure true-to-life colour rendering suitable for video, livestreaming, and skin-tone-critical work — even when working with coloured lights.

The ML40R offers 14 pre-programmed FX modes for lighting effects — useful for atmosphere, light source simulation, or accents in video and content work. Control the light directly on the body or wirelessly via the Godox Light app. The Bluetooth connection works up to 30 metres, so you can adjust the light remotely during a shoot.

The ML40R features 2 built-in lithium cells rated at 3.63V / 4800mAh / 17.424Wh. At full power, it runs for approximately 42 minutes on a full charge. Charging takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes via the included charging cable.

With an operating temperature range of -10°C to 40°C and wireless operation, the ML40R is suitable for both indoor and outdoor locations. Its compact size makes it easy to take on the go and quick to deploy.
