The Hasselblad XCD 2,8-4/35-100E has a variable maximum aperture of f/2.8 at 35mm and f/4 at 100mm. This provides a nice depth of field and makes the lens good to use even in slightly poorer lighting conditions.

Despite the extensive zoom range and large aperture, ingenious engineering makes for a remarkably compact form. The Hasselblad XCD 2,8-4/35-100E weighs just 894g and is 133mm long. This makes it, for example, 19% lighter and 10% shorter than the Hasselblad XCD 3,5-4,5/35-75.
