The Hoya 40.5mm HDX CIR-PL filter is an absolute top-quality circular polarization filter that will continue to perform in any situation. The polarization filter is made of extra tempered glass and therefore has 4x the tensile strength of traditional filters. The Hoya HDX filter is equipped with special coatings on both sides that reduce internal reflections and filter UV cast, providing a more saturated and sharper image. The 8-layer multi-coating on both sides of this polarization filter ensures maximum optical performance and light permeability of no less than 99.4% (and a whopping 25% more light permeability than regular polarization filters). This multi-layer coating also ensures that the filter is water, dirt and scratch-resistant, making it more pleasant to use and longer-running.
