This Hoya HMC R1 Pro colour filter increases contrast in your image and is primarily used for black-and-white photography. The red filter is ideal for (outdoor) portraits, as it emphasises red tones while making green tones appear lighter. It also works well for correcting skin tones and helps bring out facial expressions more effectively in portraits. This filter can also be used creatively in colour and infrared photography. Do bear in mind that using this filter results in a loss of 3 stops of light (ND factor of 0.9).

Hoya HMC filters are renowned for their ability to minimise reflections on filter surfaces, reducing flare and image ghosting. The result is an average light transmission of over 97%, delivering sharp contrast and well-balanced colour.
