The Leofoto GC-282C Geared centre column can be used as a detachable centre column that you place on the tripod plate of a tripod with 3/8-inch thread. A geared centre column is very useful if you want to adjust the height with exact precision. Adjusting accurately with a normal centre column can sometimes be tricky if you have a heavy camera mounted on the ball head. The extra fixed length of the centre column is 215mm and with the GC-282C's swivel crank you can adjust the height to a maximum of 325mm.

This geared centre column is very is stable and strong and can be used with any Leofoto tripod with 3/8-inch thread. Due to the 28mm diameter carbon tube, the maximum weight the GC-282C can carry is equal to the maximum load weight of the tripod and placed tripod head. At the end of the column is a 45mm platform to mount a tripod head on. The GC-282C has a maximum length of 325 mm and weighs 300 grams
