Nikon AF-S 16-80mm F/2.8-4 E ED VR DX

With the Nikon AF-S 16-80mm F/2.8-4 E ED VR DX, you make the most of the advantages of your DX-format camera. With an equivalent focal length of 24-120mm, this lens is suitable for a wide variety of subjects, from sweeping landscapes to sports. The maximum aperture range is also quite fast, varying from f/2.8 at 16mm to f/4 at 80mm. The optical design features Extra Low Dispersion and aspherical lens elements to minimise aberrations. Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings reduce ghosting and lens flare. The lens is also fitted with a fluorine coating to protect it against water and dirt.

Handling is excellent thanks to a Silent Wave Motor autofocus system for fast, whisper-quiet focusing. It switches automatically to manual focus when you turn the manual focus ring. The VR image stabilisation in the lens helps you shoot handheld with confidence. It compensates for the effect of camera shake at slower shutter speeds and longer focal lengths. In addition, an electromagnetic aperture mechanism is built in for improved exposure stability, and the lens has a 72mm filter thread.
