The Orca Magnet Boom Pole Holder is designed for sound technicians working in the field. It enables quick attachment and detachment between the boom arm and the harness, tripod or other equipment.

Orca Magnet Boom Pole Holder

The OR-117 mechanism allows the sound engineer to work with both hands at the mixing desk when the boom pole is not in use, while also offering the ability to quickly switch back to using the boom pole.

The OR-117 mechanism is made from soft, padded neoprene with an anti-friction lining on the inside and consists of two parts: one part that wraps around the boom pole and another part that attaches to a harness, tripod, or other device. These parts are quickly connected to each other via a magnetic "Fidlock" closure. The "Fidlock" closure holds securely and can only be unlocked by pulling the tab. The OR-117 is compact and lightweight (90 grams), ensuring it does not hinder the operation of the boom pole.
