The **Pentax D FA \* 70-200mm F2.8 ED AW DC telezoom lens** is the new addition to the high-Star series, developed for the highest image quality. Thanks to the 'large-apeture design' this lens features an F2.8 aperture throughout the range of 70mm to 200mm.

Combined with diverse lens coating technology developed by PENTAX , such as the new Aero Bright Coating II, little reflections are guaranteed. The high-quality HD Coating ensures extra sharp contrast images free of flare and ghosting, even with tricky lighting conditions such as backlight. In addition the four super-low disperion glass elements and two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, this lens also has the new Super ED glass element for chromatic aberration throughout the zoom range, providing a high photo quality.

The dustproof, weatherproof housing makes this objective optimal to use even in harsh weather conditions.

Weatherproof

Developed as an AW (All Weather) model, this lens is dustproof and weatherproof. In a construction with 13 special seals, dust and water getting into the interior of the lens is prevented. Combined with a PENTAX WR body, you can even use it in harsh weather conditions such as rain or fog, and rely entirely on your equipment.

Quick-Shift Focus System

The new PENTAX Quick-Shift Focus System makes switching between the three focus modes, QFS / A QFS / M and the Manual Focus mode quick and easy. QFS / A is a prefered auto focus mode that gives the user the ability to switch over to manual focus, when the auto focus is completed. QFS / M is a manual focus-preset position, which gives the user the ability to switch to the manual focus at any moment, even when the autofocus system is still in operation. With the choice of these three intuitive modes, the user is assured of a faster, more accurate focusing in all conditions.
