The PocketWizard PW Mini TT1 Canon Transmitter locks onto the hot shoe of the camera and supports a flash on the camera with its own hot shoe whilst working with external PocketWizard devices. Remotes can be one or more PocketWizard FlexTT5 transceivers connected to Canon E-TTL II flash guns, or a PocketWizard receiver for triggering flash guns or external cameras. The Mini TT1 transmitter is easy to use; simply slide it into place and start shooting.

The PocketWizard ControlTL system interprets the complex E-TTL II data transmitted by the camera's hot shoe and sends it digitally in a reliable radio signal. Change the flash compensation dial on the camera and those commands pass seamlessly through the system to your external flash. Adjust your shutter speed, aperture or ISO sensitivity and the system corrects for those changes. A ratio command set on the flash or control unit passes through the MiniTT1 to configure the remotes. With PocketWizard ControlTL radio communication, you can shoot further, faster, around corners and through walls, even in bright midday sunlight. You can now deploy a wireless flash system wherever you like within seconds, without any infrared limitations.

Use the MiniTT1 for standard triggering with any PocketWizard receiver, including the FlexTT5, PlusII or MultiMAX. When used this way with a digital camera, you can take advantage of PocketWizard's HyperSync technology, which allows synchronisation of up to 1/500th of a second with many camera/strobe setups. With HyperSync, you can advance the timing of the flash trigger so that speeds faster than X-sync speeds can be achieved. Need more speed? Push your ControlTL system beyond 1/500th and automatically switch to FP/High-Speed Sync mode. No buttons to press or settings to change — other than your shutter speed — giving you flash synchronisation up to 1/8000th.
