RODE VideoMic PRO+

The Rode VideoMic Pro+ is a compact, directional on-camera microphone. It is a real shotgun microphone, developed for use in combination with camcorders, DSLR cameras and portable audio recorders as a source of primary and reference audio. Still equipped with the very best Rycote Lyre suspension system, the VideoMic Pro+ is an improvement over the existing VideoMic Pro and has a range of new features. The automatic power function is perfect for the fast videographer and automatically switches off the microphone when the plug is removed from the camera. Due to the built-in battery cover, replacing the battery is very easy. The VideoMic Pro+ can be powered by the new, supplied RØ:DE LB-1 Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery, 2x AA batteries or continuously by means of MicroUSB. Digital Switching ensures that the best audio signal is recorded at the source, shortening post production and editing times. Digital Switching includes: a filter that reduces low frequencies such as traffic noise, a function that improves the sound quality of DSLR or mirrorless cameras, High Frequency Boost that amplifies the frequencies so that the recording is more detailed and clearer and a Safety Channel that ensures that the signal is not cut when unexpected peaks occur.
