The RODE Wireless Performer Kit is, alongside the popular Filmmaker and Newsshooter Kits, the latest addition to the RODELink Wireless range, featuring a high-quality wireless condenser microphone (TX-M2) and a desktop receiver (RX-DESK). The TX-M2 has a super-cardioid pickup pattern to prevent unwanted sound from the sides and rear. This microphone is powered by the included LB-1 battery, allowing you to use the microphone for up to 10 hours continuously. You can charge the microphone via the micro USB port on the side or with the separately available charging dock. When the LB-1 battery is depleted, the microphone also runs on two AA batteries. The TX-M2 features a mute switch and the unique mute-override function. This function allows the sound engineer to override the mute button on the microphone body itself via the receiver.

The RX-DESK receiver features, in addition to the Mute Override, two antennas for maximum signal quality, two different outputs, and a variable volume control. On the rear of the receiver there is both an XLR and a 6.3mm jack connection, allowing you to connect amplifiers and mixing desks. The RX-DESK is powered by a power cable with a locking nut, so it cannot come loose. The firmware of the RODELink can be updated via the micro USB port.
