The Samyang AF 12mm F2 E is the first Samyang autofocus ultra-wide angle fixed focal length lens designed for the APS-C format. This new autofocus prime has an angle of view that is equivalent to that of an 18mm lens on a Full Frame camera. The AF 12mm F2 E has a large f/2.0 aperture. This makes it possible to use a lower ISO or a faster shutter speed when capturing astrophotography, among other things. The optical structure consists of 12 elements in 10 groups with 5 special lenses (1 H-ASP, 1 ASP and 3 ED); three extra-low dispersion lens elements and two aspherical (H-ASP & ASP) elements. This is to keep distortion to a minimum in order to achieve sharper images.

Plus, an improved version of the Samyang Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) has been applied to the lens elements to reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting. This gives better light transmission and higher contrast photos. Every special moment can be captured with the Samyang AF 12mm F2 E. The compact, lightweight ultra-wide angle lens can be used not only at night, but also during the day. The lens has a short minimum focal distance of just 19 centimetres, weatherproof housing and a quiet & fast autofocus for sharp photos and videos.

Weighing just 213 grams and measuring just 59.2 mm in length, this new Samyang AF 12mm F2 E strikes the perfect balance between compactness and excellent performance. This lens includes useful new design features such as a durable all-metal body in a metallic colour, a grip with a micro-patterned rubber ring and a new modern design with a hidden red ring. The AF 12mm F2 E has three weatherproof seals and rear lens protective glass to prevent the ingress of dust, light rain and snow. This allows you to take beautiful shots even in less than perfect conditions.
