ATTENTION: Sales start on 30-09. The Sigma 85mm f/1.2 DG Art is an extremely fast portrait lens for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras, with soft bokeh thanks to 13 aperture blades and features fast, silent autofocus via a dual HLA motor.
  • Solid metal housing that is also dust- and splash-resistant
  • Fast and accurate autofocus thanks to the HLA motor
  • Ideal for portraits with incredibly beautiful bokeh and outstanding low-light performance
  • Limited flexibility: the fixed focal length means no zooming
  • No built-in image stabilisation, relying on in-body stabilisation from the camera

Sigma 85mm f/1.2 DG Art - Sony E-mount

The Sigma 85mm f/1.2 DG Art is a portrait lens for full-frame Sony E-mount cameras. The fixed focal length of 85mm is ideal for portraits: it frames your subject beautifully while maintaining a comfortable working distance. The wide f/1.2 aperture lets you shoot in low light and creates a soft, blurred background. The 13 aperture blades keep out-of-focus highlights nicely round, even when you stop down slightly.

The lens renders fine details with impressive sharpness. Special glass elements minimise chromatic aberration and other optical distortions. The minimum focus distance of 84 centimetres means you can capture faces and details up close.

The two HLA focus motors deliver fast and near-silent autofocus. During video recording, the angle of view barely shifts when you change focus. The aperture ring makes it easy to adjust the opening. You can disable the click stops for smooth adjustments, and assign functions to the two AFL buttons via a compatible camera.

This Sigma lens weighs 905 grams and features a dust- and splash-resistant housing. The water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element makes cleaning easier. All of this makes it a great choice for portrait photography and video, both in the studio and on location.
