SmallRig 4978B Cage for Canon EOS R5 Mark II
The cage features a secure locking mechanism with a bottom 1/4"-20 screw and two lateral localisation blocks, along with integrated silicone pads to prevent scratches on your camera. Precision-engineered, the cage does not obstruct access to the camera's buttons, interfaces, dials, flip screen, battery compartment, or card slot.
The cage is equipped with multiple 1/4"-20 screw holes and 1/4"-20 localisation holes for compatibility with additional optional accessories such as side handles (SmallRig ID 2093, 4346), magic arms (SmallRig ID 3874, 3875), monitor mounts (SmallRig ID 2904B), Manfrotto base plates (SmallRig ID 1280, 2458), and L-bracket mounting plate kits (SmallRig ID MD4360). It also includes a cold shoe mount for attaching microphones and lighting accessories.
The cage features standard strap slots compatible with wrist straps (SmallRig ID 3848, 2456), an innovative strap slot for hanging an additional lens cap downwards, and a QD interface compatible with QD quick-release shoulder straps (SmallRig ID 4118).
The Arca-Swiss quick-release base plate enables direct mounting on Arca-type tripods (SmallRig ID 4060, 4353) and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro stabilisers, allowing for quick transitions between stabiliser, handheld, and tripod setups. In addition, the cage includes a magnetic double-ended hex key on the bottom for easy assembly and disassembly.
The cage comes with a durable scratch-resistant tempered glass screen protector with a surface hardness of 9H and an IK03 impact resistance test rating.
