The SmallRig 6030 "Rhinoceros" Cage Kit for Sony Alpha 7 V / 7R V / 7 IV is designed to offer versatile expansion options and robust protection for your camera. The kit includes a "Rhinoceros" cage, a "Rhinoceros" handle, and an HDMI cable clamp. The cage and handle are made from carbon fibre, making them exceptionally light and portable – ideal for extended handheld use.
The cage features a three-point locking system, consisting of a positioning pin on the bottom, a 1/4"-20 screw, and an M2.5 screw on the left side. This ensures a secure, stable mount without needing to remove the camera's triangular eyelets. The slim, streamlined design guarantees unobstructed access to all controls on the top panel of the camera for effortless operation. Built-in pads provide comprehensive protection and prevent scratches, while precise cut-outs offer unhindered access to the camera's ports, dials, buttons, and battery compartment.
With multiple mounting points – including 1/4"-20 screw holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 positioning holes, cold shoe mounts, a NATO rail, and a QD connector – this cage makes it straightforward to attach handles, microphones (compatible with DJI Mic 2), lights, monitors, and other accessories.
The integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release plate on the bottom enables seamless transitions between handheld, tripod, and gimbal setups (compatible with Arca-type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 Mini / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro / RS 4 Mini / RS 4 / RS 4 Pro gimbals).
In addition, a hinged flap at the battery compartment provides extra grip for the little finger, while the included HDMI cable clamp keeps the cable firmly in place for a stable data transfer.
