SmallRig HawkLock Advanced Cage Kit with Dual Rod System for Sony FX5
The SmallRig HawkLock Advanced Cage Kit with Dual Rod System protects the camera body, offers extensive accessory mounting and supports shooting from a low angle. The cage has a modular design with removable top mounting plates and a U-shaped cage, suitable for flexible setups in a wide range of shooting situations. Each module is secured at two or more points for stable, torsion-resistant mounting, and protective padding at the contact points with the camera prevents scratches.
The enclosed top handle provides a comfortable grip and mounts quickly via the NATO clamp; the enclosed design prevents the camera from accidentally falling during shots from a low angle. The ergonomic wrist strap reduces wrist fatigue and increases safety during longer handheld sessions. The 15mm rod clamp is secured at multiple points for a stable expansion with accessories such as a follow focus unit. The included 15mm dual rod mounting plate and two 15mm rods allow quick mounting of professional accessories such as matte boxes, lens support and V-mount batteries. The adapter ring support secures the adapter ring for improved lens stability and reduced strain on the camera mount.
The cage has built-in 1/4"-20 screw holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, 3/8"-16 screw holes, ARRI locating holes, a NATO rail, an Arca-type quick release plate and a pole strap slot for attaching a wide range of professional accessories. In addition to quick installation and removal, the NATO rail and Arca-type quick release plate have an anti-drop design on both ends, which increases safety in demanding shooting environments. A magnetic Allen key is stored in the cage itself for easy access and quick mounting.
Please note: when using the top plate with the NATO rail, the Sony ECM-B1M, ECM-M1, ECM-B10 and the DJI Mic 2 hotshoe adapter are compatible when attached. The Sony ECM-W3, ECM-W3S and ECM-W2BT microphones are not compatible. When using the Sony XLR handle (XLRH2B) or Sony EVF (DVFEL1B), all top plates must first be removed. The adapter support is compatible with Metabones, MOFAGE and Nisi PL-E adapters; when using the MOFAGE PL-E adapter, remove it first before changing a filter.
