As a G Master lens, it delivers exceptional image quality. The optical construction consists of 22 elements in 16 groups, including one ED element and three Super ED elements that counteract chromatic aberration. The Nano AR Coating II suppresses reflections and flare, while the rounded 11-blade aperture creates beautiful, soft bokeh and strong subject separation.

For fast-moving subjects, the XD linear motors provide lightning-fast, accurate autofocus, so you capture unpredictable moments before they're gone. Thanks to internal focusing, the focus range limiter and the four focus hold buttons around the lens, you stay in control even during intensive use.
