The Sony full frame E-mount teleconverter also has a dust and moisture resistant construction, making it resistant to the harshest conditions.
An extender is a compact, lightweight solution for focusing on your subject at a larger size. With the Sony E-Mount 1.4x teleconverter, for example, you can shoot with the Sony FE 70-200mm F/2.8 GM OSS lens as if it were a lens with a range of 98-280mm. The maximum aperture is reduced by around one f-stop. This means that with a lens with a maximum aperture of f/2.8, you can shoot at f/4.0 as the maximum aperture.
