Tascam DR-40XP handheld recorder

The Tascam DR-40XP handheld recorder is a professional 4-channel portable recorder for musicians, videographers and field recording. With 32-bit float recording up to 96 kHz, you always capture clear, distortion-free audio without having to adjust your recording level. The ultra-clean HDDA preamps with an EIN of -126 dBu deliver exceptionally low-noise sound in every situation.

The adjustable stereo microphones can be configured in X-Y position for interviews and vlogs, or in A-B position for recording spacious ambient sound. The built-in microphones support sound levels up to 125 dB SPL, allowing you to record everything from whisper-quiet birds to loud live performances. The XLR/TRS combo inputs with +48V phantom power support external microphones for professional setups.

Thanks to the 2-in/2-out USB-C audio interface, you can use the DR-40XP directly as an audio interface with your iPhone or computer, without extra hardware. With a battery life of approximately 18 hours on three AA batteries, you have the freedom to record whenever and wherever you want. The recorder supports microSDXC cards up to 512 GB for generous storage capacity.

Extra features such as a built-in limiter, four low-cut filter settings, overdub, auto recording, a built-in chromatic tuner and playback speed control make the DR-40XP a complete production kit for use on the go.
