Rangefinder camera

A rangefinder camera has an optical viewfinder and an optical mechanical system for focusing. Compared to a SLR camera, a rangefinder camera is much more compact, lighter and especially quiet. The focus is very accurate. In addition, the difference between viewer and lens (parallax) is automatically compensated during focusing. The available lenses (almost always with fixed focus) for a rangefinder are of unprecedented quality when it comes to sharpness, contrast and chromatic corrections.
