The Really Right Stuff TVC-24L MK2 Versa Series 2 Tripod is the "extra long" version of the traditional TVC-24 model. It is designed for photographers who need extra height for shooting above crowds, standing in the water or for daily photography. The TVC-24L is manufactured from Really Right Stuff's patented carbon fiber fabric and weighs an impressive 1.68 kg and can safely support up to 18.14 kg of equipment. Thanks to the 4-part, extra long leg design, the tripod can be extended to a maximum height of 168 cm and reduced to a minimum working height of only 9.5 cm.
Fast acceleration and breakdown is facilitated by easy-to-use twist locks that only need a quarter turn to unlock and re-lock each leg section. This design also helps to preserve the slim folded silhouette of the tripod. If you travel with the tripod or store it, the entire support can be folded down to only 58.4 cm, small enough for traveling or walking.
Each leg is attached to the collar of the tripod via a staggered leg connection that helps to evenly distribute heavy loads and to maintain the stiffness of the tripod. The joints and the collar itself are made of lightweight anodized aluminum which, in addition to the inherent strength of the tripod, also offers natural wear and corrosion resistance. Each of the three leg joints also has a ratchet lock that automatically locks in place when the legs are folded down to the "standard" position.
The feet of the TVC-24L have a unique tear shape that prevents the leg sections from touching the ground, even at the lowest height settings and the most unusual angles. Their rubberized exterior offers a non-slip grip on virtually any surface and can be used without any worries, both indoors and outdoors. For users who want to change the original rubber feet for metal "all-terrain" spikes, a set of metal spikes is available separately.
