Description
The Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG DN Art Sony E-mount lens is a wide-angle lens with a fixed focal length of 24 mm. With its wide viewing angle and ultimate optical performance, this lens is multi-purpose. The maximum aperture of F/1.4 ensures that you can shoot clear images. Even under the most demanding lighting conditions. The lens is designed to minimize unwanted effects such as ghosting and flares. Thanks to the use of super multi-layer coating and nano porous coating, unwanted effects are avoided as much as possible at the time when you have strong backlight and use a maximum aperture. The optimum performance of this lens is achieved thanks to its lens construction of 17 elements in 14 groups.
On the front is a filter thread where you can place a filter of 72 mm. Ideal if you want to use a polarizing filter or grey filter while photographing landscapes. In addition, the lens features a rear filter holder and a manual focus lock (MFL) switch, allowing you to further expand the capabilities of the lens. The MFL switch makes it easy to turn off the focus ring. This allows you to focus on the shot without fear of accidentally changing the focus distance. The lens is user-friendly, making it an ideal addition to the gear of the discerning image maker. Enjoy convenient features such as the focus mode switch, an aperture lock switch and (depending on the camera) a customizable AFL-2 button.
The lens is lightweight and therefore easy to carry The lens can withstand various weather conditions such as light rain, thanks to its dust- and splash-proof construction and the water- and oil-repellent coating on the front glass element. This lens is suitable for interior, architecture, landscapes and astrophotography. The included lens hood has a locking mechanism that allows you to securely attach the hood to the lens. The lens hood features a rubberized grip area, making it easy and quick to attach.
