The Sigma 40mm F1.4 DG HSM Art is the first SIGMA lens that was originally developed to meet the desired viewing angle and performance standard for a cine lens. This new perspective to ensure the quality of professional equipment for visual production makes it a breakthrough, also as a removable photographic lens.

This lens consists of three FLD ("F" Low Dispersion) glass elements and three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements to correct axial chromatic aberration and magnification of chromatic aberration. This is the ultimate standard lens with a large diameter that has both an 8K-compatible resolution and a beautiful bokeh. The water and oil repellent coating on the front lens element, together with the dust and splash-proof construction, guarantees excellent performance even in the most challenging shooting conditions. The fast AF, thanks to the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) with an authenticated algorithm, records instantaneous photography movements.
