Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 Mark VII Special Edition
This special edition includes the Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 Mark VII, Sony SDXC 64GB Class 10 UHS-II U3 V60 TOUGH R277 W150 MB/s memory card, Peter Hadley NP-BX1 battery and the Peter Hadley Flex Berlin case.
Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 mark VII (DSCRX100M7. CE3)
The RX100 VII offers class-leading 357 focal plane phase-detection AF points and 425 contrast-detection AF points. In addition, the world's fastest 0.02 sec AF acquisition time is achieved, thanks to a newly optimised lens drive. A quantum leap in AF/AE tracking performance during continuous shooting means the camera performs AF/AE calculations up to 60 times per second and captures fast-moving 20fps action with AF/AE tracking, so every moment is recorded with fast and accurate focus.
In addition, the image sensor captures images without darkening for a full live view, even with continuous shooting at 20 fps; the same experience as the Alpha 9. The RX100 VII also introduces a new drive mode, Single Burst Shooting, for capturing the perfect high-speed shot at up to 90 fps in JPEG/RAW format using the anti-distortion shutter. With Single Burst Shooting, photographers can frame and shoot fast-moving action as if they were taking a single shot, but the camera actually delivers seven photos shot at 90fps, 60fps or 30fps, allowing the user to select the perfect moment.
For the first time in a compact camera, the RX100 VII introduces advanced real-time tracking and real-time Eye AF capabilities. Real-time Tracking uses Sony's latest algorithm, including artificial intelligence-based object recognition to ensure that subjects can be captured with excellent accuracy, even via the touchscreen on the rear screen. Real-time Eye AF, the latest version of Sony's acclaimed Eye AF technology, uses AI-based object recognition to detect and process eye data in real time. This results in improved accuracy, speed and tracking performance of Eye AF for both humans and animals, allowing the photographer to focus solely on the composition.
The compact and lightweight features of the RX100 VII (approx. 302g/102mm x 58mm x 43mm) means it can always be carried and has mounting flexibility that larger cameras simply can't match.
Improvements compared to the Sony DSC-RX100 Mark VI
The RX100 Mark VII has undergone a number of changes from its predecessor. For example, with the RX100 mark VII you can get started with better and faster autofocus in video, no less than 90 fps and an 8x better steady shot. Recording your videos vertically so that you can post them directly to Instagram is also no longer a problem. Do you spend a lot of time making time-lapse videos? Then you've come to the right place!
