The Zoom H5 allows you to create excellent 1- to 4-channel sound recordings. This recorder is equipped with a stereo microphone on top and two XLR / jack inputs on the bottom. The microphone is thereby a removable module that can be exchanged with another Zoom input capsule.
Features of the Zoom H5 Handy Recorder
- Uses a system of interchangeable input capsules, which can easily be changed like the lens of a camera
- Includes removable X / Y capsule (XYH-5) with extensive signal capacity and shock mounted microphones for less handling noise
- Compatible with all Zoom-entry capsules
- Four-track simultaneous recording
- Large backlit LCD display
- Records directly to SD and SDHC cards up to 32GB
- Up to 24-bit / 96 kHz audio in BWF compliant WAV or a variety of MP3 formats
- Two mic / line inputs with XLR / TRS combo connectors, each with adjustable phantom power and 20dB pad
- Analog-style amplification determined for each input
- Protective "roll bar" type prevents accidental movement of amplifier controls
- Plug-in power (2.5 volts)
- Built-in effects, including low-cut filter, compression and limiting chromatic tuner and metronome
- Auto-recording, recording and backup recording functions mean you'll never miss that perfect take
