Buying guide: which drone suits me?
You've made up your mind — you want to buy a (new) drone. The choice is overwhelming and prices range from a few hundred to several thousands of euros. What's the difference between all these drones? And more importantly: which drone suits you?
To help you out, we've put together this buying guide. From beginner to professional, from a small to a large budget — you'll find the best choice right here.
How experienced am I? When choosing a drone, this is perhaps the most important question. If you have some experience but fly mainly for fun, the Beginner category is for you. If you have more flying experience and want to use the drone commercially (for example for productions), a drone for Semi-pros or Professionals is more suitable.
Beginner
Ideally you'd start with an advanced drone that captures stunning footage, but flying without any experience is quite a challenge. You need to control the drone, be aware of your surroundings, and still film and photograph at the same time. Start with a simple, more compact drone — these are much easier to operate and already come with a camera.
Tello Drone
The Tello Drone is a very compact drone with a 5-megapixel camera. You control it easily via your smartphone. Thanks to electronic image stabilisation you capture smooth footage in 720p. Built-in sensors prevent collisions, the drone alerts you when the battery is low, and it can land automatically if the connection is lost.
VIZU Drone X22
The VIZU Drone X22 has a total flight time of 12 minutes per charge. Control it with your smartphone (iOS or Android) or via the handy controller — very easy to fly and ideal for the beginning drone pilot. It records in 720p with built-in image stabilisation. DJI Mini

Semi-pro
Flying a drone? You could do it in your sleep! Not literally of course — safety comes first, and as a semi-professional you know that better than anyone. High image quality is your priority: RAW shooting and 3-axis image stabilisation are absolute must-haves.
DJI Mavic Air 2
