Canon Speedlite EL-5
The Canon Speedlite EL-5 is an E-TTL/E-TTL II compatible flash, characterised by its power, connectivity and reliability. The on-camera flash is flexible and versatile, it is suitable for a variety of lighting needs. Thanks to a xenon flash tube, the speedlite has high exposure stability and a powerful guide number of 60 at ISO 100. A versatile exposure control from full 1/1 power to 1/1024 power makes the light adjustable. The flash uses the LP-EL rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack to achieve shorter recharge times of about 0.1 to 1.2 sec and about 350 flashes per charge. The battery also contributes to improved thermal management and the flash's active cooling system.
Suitable for professional applications, the EL-5 supports all RT Series flash units for radio-controlled wireless control and activation, including wireless synchronization on the second curtain. The flash has a robust physical design that is dust and water resistant. The user interface includes a joystick design, display and control layout and features an adjustable LED modelling lamp. In addition, the flash head can fully rotate 180° to the left and right, tilt 120° upwards, and has a built-in wide-angle panel.
