What do you use an editing console/panel for?
An editing console or panel works together with certain photo or video editing programs and connects to the computer. It is therefore fully tailored to them. With some, you can set the buttons yourself for certain actions. You can also work very precisely with a dial when adjusting something. In short, with a console you have more control over your adjustments than with a mouse.
What do you use a drawing tablet for?
With a drawing tablet and pen you can create smooth shapes, which comes in handy when editing a photo because you can easily remove parts, draw lines and make transitions. Moreover, a tablet measures how hard you press with the pen, so lines can be drawn thicker and thinner. The pen also often has a button or buttons that act as the right mouse button. This allows you to open these menu options with a small click of the pen.
