What is a mirrorless camera?

A DSLR camera is also known as a hybrid camera. It combines the best of both worlds: compact cameras & DSLR cameras. The camera doesn't have a prism and is fully digital. Making it lightweight and compact. It also features an interchangeable lens system. Leaving you to enjoy a variety of photography styles.

How does a mirrorless camera work?

With mirrorless cameras a single sensor does all the work. Everything operates digitally. Including the viewfinder. One brilliant advantage being that you see straight away what your photo will look like. The autofocus also works via the sensor. There is no separate AF sensor. This means the autofocus can be applied pretty much across the entire picture. The camera captures everything much quicker. Direct digital registration means the camera often has built-in stabilisation. All these digital functions makes them hugely popular among film makers.

Why choose a mirrorless camera?

This type of camera is just what you need if you're looking to take qualitative photos using a lightweight camera. A camera with an electronic viewfinder and interchangeable lens system is the ideal solution. You won't need to take along any heavy gear and you enjoy a versatile photographic range.
