Description
The Gitzo GHFG1 Fluid Head combines the smoothness and vibration absorption of a liquid head with the balance and freedom of movement of a traditional gimbal. The Gitzo GHFG1 is ideal for photographing wild animals and bird watching. The maximum load is 8 kg; the head weighs only 1.35 kg. The tilt range is about 180° and the panning range is 360°. Both axes have independent locks for precise control.
By using liquid cartridge technology, borrowed from the film and video industry, movements are displayed smoothly and stable. A fluidity control system, the Whip-Pan, provides precise control and maneuverability when tracking at high speeds. The Whip-Pan automatically applies friction, except the fluid rotation on the panoramic axis, for realistic movements without shocks or vibrations. This system also controls fluidity depending on rotation and tilting speeds for consistent control, regardless of whether it are slow or fast rotations.
The control knobs of the head have a soft-touch, ergonomic design and the panning handle is detachable for a more compact shape when not in use. There is a built-in Arca-compatible quick coupler base for extended compatibility and an Arca-like plate with rubber grips. In addition, the head is made of lightweight magnesium and aluminum alloys and finished with the characteristic Noir Décor finish of Gitzo.
