B+W standard circular polarizing filter MRC 77mm

The B+W standard CPOL Multi Resistant Coating filter is simply screwed onto the lens of your camera. The filter provides photos with high contrasts, colour saturation and removes reflection from water or glass surfaces. The clear optical glass with MRC protection coating is of excellent quality. The filter mount is made of brass in matt black and has a screw thread on both sides of the filter.

A Multi Resistant Coating (MRC) guarantees maximum reflection reduction and minimizes disturbing stray light. This allows brighter colours to be achieved and contrast increased. In addition, the coating protects the filter against scratches, grease and dust. Because a 7-layer coating is applied on both sides of the filter, the hardness of the filter is increased. This makes the filter less sensitive to external influences and it lasts longer.

Circular polarizing filters (CPOL filters for short) are among the most important filters for photographic applications. Polarizing filters can be rotated in the filter mount to achieve certain effects such as increasing colour saturation. The maximum effect is achieved when pictures are taken at an angle of 90 degrees to the sun. By turning the filter, the effect of the polarization filter can be seen through the viewfinder or on the camera's LCD monitor. Objects behind glass surfaces are more visible by using the polarizing filter.

The B+W BASIC CPOL series replaces the CPOL of the T-Pro series.
