The Carl Zeiss C-Sonnar-ZM 1.5/50mm T\* lens in the colour silver is inspired by its predecessor of the 1930s and is a fast, normal prime lens for rangefinder cameras with M-mount. Its fast f/1.5 maximum aperture and natural perspective make the lens ideal for photographing portraits and the filming of documentaries, especially under difficult lighting conditions. The “C” indication of the lens stands for its compact shape and classic optical design to produce timeless images with natural color fastness and rendering. The Sonnar optical design stands for high sharpness and resistance against flare. Also, a T\* anti-reflective coating is used to suppress flare and ghosting for high contrast and bright colours.
