The Gitzo Mountaineer Series 2 GT2542 is a four-section tripod for the photographer who likes stable photography but does not want to carry a large tripod. This tripod is compact and lightweight, but above all strong and robust.
The GT2542 tripod has a maximum height of 165.5 centimetres, a minimum height of 15 centimetres and a weight of 1680 grams. It can hold a complete camera setup weighing 22 kilograms. This tripod's G-Lock Ultra system ensures that the sections stay firmly in place. It also features a built-in O-ring to prevent dust and dirt from getting into legs of the tripod. The centre column allows you to film and shoot low to the ground. Ideal for macro shots. Moreover, this centre column has a hook for a counterweight for extra stability.
The Mountaineer Series 2 GT2542 tripod is made of carbon fibre, making it lightweight. But that doesn't detract from stability. In fact, there are rubber feet on the underside of this tripod that can easily be swapped for spikes to give you stability on any surface.
Gitzo GHF3W 3-way fluid head
The compact Gitzo GHF3W 3-way fluid head is a swivel and tilt head with independent vertical, lateral and pan locks. The locks are disabled so you can tilt the head with a range of -70° to +90°. Ideal for portrait shots. It is also possible to rotate the head fully 360° for panoramic shots.... Each axis has an independent fluid pattern to ensure each movement is effortlessly smooth. The spirit level on two axes rotates so you have oriëntation and your tripod is always level
