The Hoya 49mm Instant Action Adapter Ring is an adapter ring that, together with the Hoya Instant Action Conversion Ring (sold separately), forms a filter attachment system.

Combine the Instant Action Adapter Ring with the Instant Conversion Ring to enjoy a quick-change system for any common screw filter using magnetic force. You can attach the filter very quickly, easily and directly to your lens in just one movement. The strong magnet means you'll not be bothered by falling filters.

It is very easy to use; you just have to put the parts in the right order. Screw the Hoya Instant Action Adapter Ring onto the lens first, then screw the Hoya Instant Action Conversion Ring (sold separately) onto your filter. Finally, attach the filter to the lens. Because of the magnets they grip onto each other.

You can leave the adapter ring on the lens, so you don't have to remove it every time you change the filter.
