Effects such as controlling light reflections on glass or water surfaces. The Hoya HD nano MkII CIR-PL allows you to control light waves entering your lens by filtering all the polarized light. This allows you to look under water surfaces, for example. The effect is great on glass surfaces. It removes reflections and makes it possible to see through the glass and interiors.

By polarized light we don't just mean surface reflections but light shining directly from the sky. This filters the Hoya filter out of the image. With this you can significantly increase the contrast of the sky, remove haze and enhance blue tones.
